Hello and welcome to SuziStyles!
I have been blogging since 2014 and what a journey it’s been. I started blogging just after I won a competition to become the Official Blogger for Vodafone’s London Fashion Weekend. My entry was based on Sophia Webster’s SS 15 Collection – ‘Jungle is Massive’ and was chosen by the renowned Bonnie Rakhit (journalist at British ELLE, SUNDAY TIMES STYLE and GRAZIA). That was definitely a “pinch-me” moment.
Working as a blogger at such a high-profile event proved a real eye-opener into the world of fashion, which to be honest was daunting for a new blogger. But actually it has really helped me to shape my blog as I was determined to create content that makes fashion fun and accessible for everyone.
While, I am not professionally trained in fashion styling or journalism, I haven’t let that hold me back as I think if you truly love what you do, no obstacle will ever seem too big to overcome. In case you’re wondering, I also work part-time as a speech therapist in a school. Running around after 4 year olds, while covered in paint means does mean that I keep my fashion feet firmly on the ground 🙂
Juggling two jobs has definitely taught me how to focus, organise and mostly DREAM BIG! This in turn has led to some fantastic opportunities with well-known British and Irish brands. Now, I’m just waiting for the day that I can go full-time with blogging and styling.
Thanks so much for reading about me, now please go and explore my blog! You’ll see that I’m now writing about food and travel, which I hope you enjoy.
